One of the ways sneaker brands have celebrated Christmas is by crafting kicks inspired by the fictional happy holiday hater: Dr Seuss‘ the grinch. Nike started this trend with the late Kobe Bryant Kobe 6 “Grumpy” colorway in 2010, and now fast forward 12 years later,
The upper halves of these season-appropriate sneakers are done with two bold shades of green and designed with shaggy suedes to translate the character’s fur. Tongues have split their branding between evil Grinch eyes on the right shoe and standard clover shots on the left. Inside the kicks, the insoles have been adorned with actual images of the animated creature dressed in a Santa-inspired outfit. Removable pins you can use to accessorize kicks include the Grinch’s various facial expressions, goodies, and his sidekick Max. Additionally, the kicks are housed in a special red shoebox that is imprinted with its dangling hand with an adidas branding ornament.
More images of the nostalgic sneakers are available in the gallery above, and you can expect them to release December 1 through adidas and some retailers.
