20 December 2021

Suspicious subject – 3:55 – 9200 Bloomfield block – Following a call for service from a suspicious person, a subject was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm and a concealed firearm.
Vehicle Burglary – 8:04 am – Block 6800 of Cerritos Ave. – During the night, an unknown suspect smashed the window on the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle and stole a Louis Vuitton gym bag and Nike shoes valued at approximately $ 2,400.00.
Vehicle Burglary – 8:10 p.m. – Block 9800 of Sunny Cir. – On 12/29/21, the victim parked his 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. Today at 8:10 pm, he observed that an unknown suspect had smashed the driver’s side window and stole reading glasses worth $ 150.00. At 3:45 p.m., a Ring camera captured a male subject in his early 20s, with a black beard, jumped over his south wall, and circled his vehicle and property.

December 21, 2021

Vehicle burglary – 1:02 p.m. – Via Media block 9700 – During the night, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle by unknown means and stole money, sunglasses and tools.
Suspicious subject – 1:41 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – Following a call for service from a suspicious person and a subsequent search of the room, officers arrested a male felon for possession of a loaded firearm, identity theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and embezzlement of stolen goods. A second subject was arrested for identity theft, possession of stolen property and possession of a loaded firearm. The subjects were both transported and reserved at the Orange County Jail.
Rape Investigation – 2:09 p.m. – Block 5600 of Lincoln Ave. – Between 12/03/21 and 12/05/21, a young woman met a 39-year-old man at a local motel. Both subjects consumed alcohol, Xanax, and marijuana. During the evening, the man sexually assaulted the woman.

22 December 2021

Property found – 8:35 p.m. – Block 4500 of Avenida Granada – The reporter heard a noise in the toilet and observed nine male subjects in their twenties running away. When the RP entered the washroom, he located a cash register that had been taken on a flight from Walgreens to Garden Grove at 5pm. An officer from the Garden Grove Police Department responded and gathered the evidence.

23 December 2021

Hit and Run – 4:20 am – Block 5900 of Cerritos Ave. – A police officer was arrested by a citizen about a hit-and-run in the Chevron parking lot. The officer stopped the suspect vehicle in Chapman and Valley View, where he arrested a subject for a warrant. The witness could not be located and no one was available to review the surveillance video at Chevron until later that day.
Danger of traffic – 8:57 p.m. – Valley View / Katella – A large tree fell due to the rain, blocking the first and the bike path. Public Works has been notified and responded to remove it.

December 24, 2021

Floods – 00:55 – Moody / Myra – Pumping station # 1 was not functioning properly and about two feet of water flooded the area. Public Works responded and reset the pump. The other pumping stations were functioning properly.
Burglary – 11:02 am – Block 4900 of Katella Ave. – An unknown suspect broke into the victim’s locker and stole a backpack containing a wallet, car keys and books valued at $ 670.00.
Burglary – 11:15 a.m. – 9100 block of Valley View Street – Between 9/21/21 and 12/24/21, an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s storage unit and stole jewelry and electronics worth approximately 3,800.00 $.

December 25, 2021

Grand Theft – 12:09 p.m. – Enterprise / Flora Park Wy. – Occurring between 6:00 p.m. and the time of the call, the victim’s four tires were stolen from his Lexus IS250. The wheels and tires were valued at approximately $ 4000. No suspicious information.
Little Flight – 6:14 a.m. – Block 4100 from Dorset Dr. – At around 6 a.m., a white woman with bleached blonde hair, a burgundy jacket and a black shirt approached the victim’s residence and stole a package and mail.

December 26, 2021

Vehicle Burglary – 3:24 p.m. – Southampton Drive / Matinicus Court – Overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle, smashing a window and stole approximately $ 600.00 of tools.
Assist Outside Agency – 10:06 p.m. – Magnolia / Edinger (Westminster) – Police dog Bono and his handler helped Westminster Police Department stop a car for felony, where the suspect failed to cooperate and had an arrest warrant. After a short standoff, PSD Bono apprehended the suspect.
