Santa Clara sneaker store broken into twice in a week


SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KRON) – A sneaker store in Santa Clara was broken into on Sunday evening at around 11:29 p.m., authorities said in a press release.

The Fix, located on the 2000 block of El Camino Real, experienced a similar incident just a few days ago, on November 23 at around 1:15 a.m.

Police say several suspects forced entry into the store during the two burglaries. The first burglary involved a group of 15 to 30 suspects who stole shoes and clothing.

The group of suspects fled the scene in several cars.

No injuries were reported during these two incidents.

Authorities have yet to make any arrests.

The store will be closed on Monday and it is not known when it plans to reopen, according to a statement from the company on social media.

The Fix is ​​a sneaker store that sells many exclusive Jordan and Nike styles ranging from around $ 200 to $ 1,550, according to their website.

This store is one of multiple incidents of retail store burglaries in the Bay Area over the past month.

Similar incidents have occurred in Concord, San Francisco and Hayward, to name a few.

“If anyone or a group commits these crimes in Santa Clara or in our area, they will be brought to justice and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” said Anthony Becker, Santa Clara council member, in a statement. . “As the leader of this great city, I will do everything in my power and step up the resolution of this problem.”
