The Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 Returns In An OG Colorway

Nike revisits the Air Zoom Flight 95, returning to the OG colorway worn by Jason Kidd in 1994 during his first rookie season in the NBA.

Known for its futuristic, fashion-forward silhouette, the Air Zoom Flight 95 features orb-shaped cutouts on the “Black Metallic” checkered leather upper, accented by a metallic silver midsole and outsole. Eric Avar designed the silhouette as a vehicle to advance then-Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd, using Zoom Air cushioning as the foundation for lateral spring and dynamic maneuvering on the court. Avar also worked on Nike’s Kobe 9 Elite silhouette using Flyknit technology as a structural symbiosis of “science and art.”

Named a personal favorite by sneakerhead Hanni El Khatib, the OG silhouette last dropped on its 20th anniversary in 2015 and again in 2017 in various iterations of neutral tones with contrast piping on the nubuck upper.

With previous models, the cursive “Flight” logo is embroidered on the heel tab, and a metallic, all-black Nike Swoosh appears at the heel and toe, accompanied by stitching to the front. Black and white speckled laces complete the set.

Shop the new set at Nike official site later this spring, listed at $160 USD.
