After spending a hard night, Vanessa Bryant finds comfort with her 11-year-old dog Cruciatus. NBA star’s 39-year-old widow Kobe Bryant shared a video of his Black Labrador Retriever licking his tears. “Crucio (always tries to lick my tears away),” she captioned the clip.
January must be a terrible month for Vanessa. This 26th will mark the two-year anniversary of the death of Kobe Bryant, their daughter Gianna and seven others in a helicopter crash in California.
After the fatal crash, Vanessa sued the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and other agencies after first responders allegedly took and shared unauthorized photos of the human remains.
After suing the agencies, a federal judge rejected Los Angeles County’s offer, and the case will go to trial. According to Los Angeles Times, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department assistant intern visited a local bar days after the fatal crash and reportedly showed photos of the scene.
The publication revealed that the sheriff Alex Villanueva offered discipline amnesty to those involved if they deleted the images and said each other.
It’s been almost two years since the crash, and such photos have never been leaked; however, for Vanessa Bryant, it is possible that they will surface. “For the rest of my life, one of two things that will happen is either close-up photos of my husband and daughter’s bodies will go viral online, or I will continue to live in fear of it happening. “said Vanessa Bryant.
The former Los Angeles Laker player retired in 2016 and is survived by Vanessa and their three other daughters, Natalie, 18 years old, Bianka, 4 and Corsair, 2.
