Nike continues its partnership with the Off-White label founded by Virgil Abloh for two new makeovers of the Air Terra Forma silhouette. The silhouette was originally designed by Virgil Abloh as part of an Off-White-Nike collaboration. The sneakers will be available in “wheat” and “white” colorways.
The swoosh label has yet to announce an official release date for either sneaker. However, according to several sneaker leaker pages, the shoe pack will be released during the Virgil Abloh: The Codes c/o Architecture exhibit at Miami Art Week from December 1, 2022 through December 4, 2022.
Virgil Abloh’s Off-White x Nike Terra Forma Boot Pack Will Feature In “Wheat” And “White” Colorways
The fashion industry suffered a huge loss last year when Virgil Abloh lost his battle with cancer. The late designer began his career in the fashion industry as Kanye West’s personal stylist before moving up the ranks and opening his own label, Off-White.
Over the years, Abloh and the swoosh label have released several collectible sneakers in the drip, including makeovers on Dunks and running shoes, among others. The designer’s latest posthumous release alongside the swoosh tag is one of the most impressive silhouettes and marks Abloh’s first completely original Nike design. The sneakers come from a multitude of unpublished archives that he has kept secret.
The trainers are designed in a mid-top silhouette and combine performance and luxury for the perfect streetwear look. The trainer sees a hybrid athletic shoe mixed with a hiking shoe setup. The runner kicks come with multiple intricate design details.
The upper of the collaborative sneakers is made of synthetic material while the overlays are made of suede. Layers of suede are attached to the side panels, collars and toe.
The sneakers feature swoosh logos consisting of exposed stitching with outlines. The elongated tongues feature drilled holes and the lower heels are adorned with abstract designs. The trainers’ insoles feature mismatched branding with “Off-White” branding on the left shoe and the iconic hand logos on the right.
The thick sole of the Air Terra Forma features Nike Air Inner Space technology. While chunky soles feature bold patterns and colors with ’90s aesthetics, sturdy bottoms are textured with oversized “Tread Lightly” lettering and textured track spikes.
Along with Terra Forma branding and a front zipper, the shoes also feature multi-color colors on the laces with a shiny branded zipper. The kicks will be accompanied by special red shoe boxes, labeled “SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX”. Additionally, the sneakers are reimagined with elements of the Air Force 1 Mid and Terra Kiger 5 sneakers.
