A lot of things go into a player’s performance on the pitch. An underrated aspect of player performance is the pair of sneakers they play in.. The performance, comfort and style of a sneaker determine what a player wears every night. The Sixers roster is filled with guys who are sponsored by different brands and showcase multiple styles throughout the season. With the help of @SixersSneakers, take a look at the top five Sixers players with the best field shoes:
5. Seth Curry
Seth Curry has only been with the Sixers for a season, but jumped straight into the top five with his field rotation kicks. He represented his brother Stephen Curry’s brand tons of good and worn colourways from the Curry UnderArmour line. Steph Curry recently partnered with Under Armor to create his own brand and launch Curry 8. Seth Curry mainly wore Curry 7 and 8 throughout the season. One of the notable colorways of the Curry 8 were the M&M and Skittles colors. These paid homage to Steph and Seth’s love for every candy when they were younger. Curry has also worn many versions of Curry 7 throughout the season and the playoffs. We can expect Seth to stay on this list with more exclusive Curry brand colorways hitting the ground this fall.
4. Shake Milton
Shake Milton was one of the Sixers with a surprisingly good rotation on the pitch. For a season and a half, he’s been swinging tons of Kobe 5 colors including several PE (Player Exclusives). The Kobe 5 is one of the most popular sneakers in the NBA and worn by almost every Nike endorsed player. Shake’s rotation included a few different PE Sixers, “EYBL” Kobe 5 and “Bruce Lee” Kobe 5. Milton actually wore the Kobe 5 “5 Rings” in his scoring explosion in Game 2 against the Atlanta Hawks. , which helped the Sixers to victory.
3. Tyrese Maxey
The outstanding second-year player had a good rookie season on the pitch and had the shoes to match. Tyrese Maxey was in and out of the roster during the year, but showed flashes during his playing time. His field rotation included Kobe 5 and 6 and he had his two most scoring games in these sneakers . Maxey wore the Kobe 5 “Reverse Bruce Lee” in his 39-point game against the Nuggets. Maxey scored 30 points against the Orlando Magic wearing the Kobe 6 âThink Pinkâ. Maxey was recently seen training in the Nike Air Zoom BB NXT, another basketball shoe players are starting to wear on the court. Maxey will look to improve his rookie year this coming season and we can be sure to see him giving some cool kicks on the pitch.
2. Joël Embiid
Joel Embiid was last season’s MVP finalist, but he destroyed his opponents throughout the season. Joel Embiid rocked his iconic shoe, the UA Embiid One, as he dominated game after game. JEmbiid oil first showcased their iconic shoes during the NBA Bubble and continued to wear them last season. Embiid performed in a number of colorways that had meaning and stories behind them. Some of the colorways included the âOriginâ colorway, based on its country of origin, Cameroon. He also sported the âGamer Nightâ and âDraft Dayâ colorways, which are based on his draft day experience and his love for video games. Joel Embiid will be back in court this fall is looking to go on a revenge tour to win the MVP award and will more than likely wear the second edition of his signature shoe.
1. Tobias Harris
Tobias Harris was clearly number one for the Sixers when it comes to field kicking rotation. Harris is endorsed by Nike and has one of the best Kobe collections in the NBA. There are only a few players who can have collections comparable to Harris’. Tobias’ kicks on the field last season were versatile. Since joining the Sixers in 2019, Harris has shown the diversity of his Nike collection. Last season Tobias wore a wide range of Kobes. He wore the Kobe 3, Kobe 4, Kobe 5, Kobe 6, Kobe 7 and Kobe 11. Tobias wore a Kobe 4 PE when he hit the winner of the game against the Lakers in January. Tobias wore so many colors that there are literally too many to name them. Harris will surely continue to be the king of kicking on the field this coming season for the Sixers and will be one of the best players in the league when it comes to footwear.
